Dr Hewitt graduated with a BSc in Physiology in 1985 and then went on to study medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London, and qualified in 1990.

Caroline's NHS post is at St Mary’s Hospital, (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust), Paddington, one of the London Teaching Hospitals. There, she consults on all aspects of adult and paediatric dermatology as well as undertaking minor surgical procedures such as mole removal.

Dr Caroline Hewitt was the lead for undergraduate dermatology teaching for 3 years and has sat on the dermatology speciality certificate examination question writing group for 6 years. Since 2013, Caroline has been the lead for the dermatology day treatment unit where she is able to treat patients needing specialised treatments such as phototherapy, iontophoresis and daily wound care. The unit also provides patient education sessions.

Dr Hewitt has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology and the use of Botox® and Fillers for facial, décolletage and hand rejuvenation. Dr Hewitt also uses Botox® to reduce excessive armpit sweating.
