Rachel Fisher - Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Fisher sees both adult and paediatric patients. She consults on all general dermatology conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne as well as treating benign and malignant skin lesions and undertaking skin surgery.

Dr Fisher completed her undergraduate training at the University of Bristol. During her post-graduate medical training, she spent a year in Birmingham as a teaching fellow educating medical students in Dermatology and general medicine before completing a 6-month post as a Senior House Officer in Dermatology at Kings Hospital, London. She then went on to secure a specialist training position in Dermatology in the Thames Valley Deanery and is now an NHS consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.

Dr Fisher has a specialist interest in medical education and has recently completed her Masters in Medical Education from Warwick University. She has presented nationally and internationally on a range of topics and published in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests relate to medical education and in particular the medical training involved in effectively undertaking teledermatology.

Away from work Dr Fisher enjoys singing classically in a choral society and playing tennis with her husband and 2 young boys.
